Me and my phone 2010 - According to industry experts and their crystal-balls:
* My address book is going to be very long since two-thirds of the human race are mobile phone users
* Not only is my Phone my camera, media player and TV - my phone is now my wallet! I'll be buying Milk and getting on the bus through Near-Field Communications (NFC).
* I'll be checking in at the airport on my mobile! All my travel documents will be totally paperless since Mobiles could eventually even be used to hold visa and biometric info. And I'll contribute to the airline industry saving 300m pounds a year.
* Since I'm a gadget Buff , My phone will be Water-powered and will also have Holographic capabilities, allowing me to beam 3D films, games and virtual content into my lap that you just purchased on voeveo!!

It's all possible, it's just whether or not they put it in to mass consumer phones. I think there are 2 distinct groups of mobile users. Those that want the newest gadgets, applications and features and those that just want a phone to communicate quickly and easily. 2 years time is probably do-able but not in NZ. We are quite behind over here.

I get really excited thinking about it. I'm all for keeping my data in one central place...however that means a backup of it all, and then a backup of my backup. Imagine losing everything...would make for a real hassle at the airport. "Sorry, I've lost my ticket, my passport and my identity." ;)
